Military Academies

Military Academy Summer Seminars

United States Military Academies offer week-long summer programs for prospective cadets the summer between the junior and senior year of high school. Summer programs are highly selective, and students are advised to apply to more than one branch of the military. Summer seminars provide an inside look at academy life, where academics, athletics and professional training are important to the development of national leaders.

If you are considering a military academy appointment and a career as a U.S. military officer, an academy summer seminar is a great way to find out if this is a good fit for you. Summer seminars are only open to current juniors. Applications are available in January and deadlines vary, but are strictly enforced. Students may apply to more than one branch (some apply to all four). Students may attend more than one summer seminar, but timing that can be tricky.
