Our fifth classes successfully completed the Tri Heroes course for 2026 under the excellent tuition of Charlene from Triathlon Ireland and the Sligo Sports Partnership. For six Mondays (five of them very wet), the pupils learned a lot of running and cycling skills required to manage a triathlon - especially the transition from discipline to discipline. The school based support culminated in a demanding run-cycle-run event on the school grounds. Well done to all who participated.

Splash and Dash 2026
To conclude our Tri Heroes initiative, fifth class went to Castlebar to take part in the 'Splash and Dash' event on a cold 25th March. The video below captures the essence of the event and the effort everyone put in on a bitter cold day. Ms Reape and Mrs Carey provided great support.
