Jazz Band
at the Sixth Grade Center
The SGC Jazz Band is an additional after school, extra curricular music ensemble for student musicians who are enrolled in the SGC band program. All SGC band students can participate in jazz band. Woodwind, brass, and mallet instrument musicians do not need to audition for the SGC Jazz Band. Due to the limited amount of instruments available, students looking to play piano keyboard, drum set, or guitar must audition for the SGC Jazz Band. Audition details for piano, drum set, and guitar are listed below.
Rehearsals are held after school until the late bus arrives at the SGC.
Due to the limited amount of rehearsals, students may no longer participate in the SGC jazz band after 2 unexcused absences.
If you have any questions never hesitate to contact the director using the information found on the Contact page of this web site.
