The QCSD Honors Orchestra is an extra curricular music ensemble for student musicians who are enrolled in the QCSD orchestra program. All QCSD orchestra students are welcome to audition for Honors Orchestra. Audition details for are listed below.
Rehearsals are held on Thursday evenings from 6:00-7:00 pm at Strayer Middle School.

Audition requirements for QCSD Honors Orchestra include:
Violin, Viola, Cello, Bass:
1-octave, diatonic D Major scale, ascending and descending played with legato eighth notes and a steady beat
2 prepared excerpts from selected repertoire. See your orchestra director for this music.
Drum Set: (as needed)
2 prepared excerpts from selected repertoire. See your orchestra director for this music.
Demonstrate how to keep time in basic rock groove.
Your ability to play and/or improvise fills is definitely a plus!
Guitar: (as needed)
