Dear QCSD Families,
As we enter the new school year, we want you to know that music education can be a great tool to help students and families to grow and thrive. Here are just some of the reasons to get involved in music:
Music education can help foster social emotional learning.
Music can get students practicing a skill away from screen time.
Music teaches perseverance and creates a sense of achievement.
Music can improve coordination, math, reading and comprehension skills.
Music exposes students to culture and history, and nurtures self-expression.
Music improves listening, social and memory skills.
The QCSD Music Department is ready to help your child stay involved in music at the elementary, middle and high school levels with offerings such as these activities listed below.
Instrumental music lessons are still offered to students grades 3-12.
