SALEM COUNTY CAREER & TECHNICAL HIGH SCHOOL

Home of the Salem Tech Chargers

“The Salem County Career and Technical High School District in Woodstown, New Jersey, is designed to provide career and technical education programs that prepare secondary and postsecondary students for employment, for higher education leading to employment, and for lifelong learning. A complete array of academic and related programs is provided to support career and technical education programs. In addition, essential skills such as ethics and other "soft skills" are taught.

The school serves both full and shared-time students in grades nine through twelve. Shared-time students participate in career and technical education programs for a half-day and attend their resident high school for academic and related instructional programs during the other half of the day. Full-time students attend the Career and Technical High School for the entire day and receive full academic, as well as career and technical instruction.

Any Salem County student may apply for the high school programs or academies available through SCVTS.  A wide array of career and technical programs are offered at the Salem Tech campus as both full and shared-time options.  The Host-Site Academies are additional full-time options offered thanks to an articulation with our K-12 district partners around the county.

Tuition for all our high school offerings is free to county residents, and transportation is provided by the student’s resident school district."

For more information, you may contact Mark Kasubinski in the SCVTS admissions office at (856) 769-0101, ext. 5370 or via email at admissions@scvts.org.

The Programs of Salem Tech

Salem Tech offer a wide range of educational opportunities for high school students in Salem County.  The programs are designed to prepare students for employment and higher education.  Many of the programs prepare students for occupational licenses, certifications and technical updating.

CAREER ORIENTATION PROGRAM

This is a four-year shared-time pathway created for students who receive educational supports via their district's child study team.  Students attend Salem Tech for vocational training for half the school day while receiving academic instruction at their district high school for the other portion of the day.  Upon program completion, students are eligible to receive a skills certificate in a career and technical concentration of their choosing.

HOST-SITE ACADEMIES

Salem Tech is partnered with four other public K-12 school districts in Salem County to provide eight additional career and technical program options.  Academy students attend the given program's host high school as full-time students.
