Graduation Pathways
The Traditional PMHS graduation pathway requires students to complete all graduation requirements (outlined in policy 6146) within the span of four academic years or eight semesters, in addition to state/federal testing guidelines.
The Graduation Policy (6146) does permit other pathways toward graduation including College Accelerated Programs (Dual Credit) as well as Early Graduation Options. These options are detailed in Board Policy 6146R.
For College Accelerated Programs please reference the section on the PMHS CAP or Dual Credit and Jump Start Programs.
Early Graduation Options—Policy 6146R
1. Early Graduation at the conclusion of the students Junior Year.
2. Early Graduation at the conclusion of the First Semester of the Student’s Senior Year.
3. Early Graduation according to program completion at an accredited alternate placement school, court mandated facility or rehabilitation center, or other district approved self-paced academic program.
Note – students who opt for early graduation will be excluded from class rank and may forfeit certain scholarship opportunities otherwise reserved for traditional four-year graduates such as local scholarships and the School Counts program.
Please contact your counselor and/or reference Board Policy 6146R for specific details and guidelines regarding the multiple pathways to graduation.
