Four Key Pillars
Dr. Jeffrey Buck, Dean
College of Business and Information Technology
Our strategic focus is centered around four key pillars that align with the Purdue Portfolio. Through these strategic focuses, we aim to provide a meaningful educational experience for all stakeholders involved.
We prioritize Reputation, and recognize the importance of maintaining a strong standing in the academic community and beyond. Collaboration is crucial, as we foster partnerships and alliances that enhance our collective potential and promote innovation.
We are committed to Student Results and Support, ensuring that every student receives the guidance and resources they need to excel.
Program accessibility and Relevance are fundamental, enabling us to reach diverse audiences and offer education that aligns with current and future needs.
We emphasize Differentiation and Social Responsibility, striving to be distinctive in our offerings while remaining mindful of our impact on society and the environment.
2025: A Year of Intent Focus on Student Results and Success
The start of a new year, a natural time to reflect and clarify priorities for the months ahead. As a school we will continue to be a major contributor towards the mission of Purdue Global, and our strategic focus will continue to be centered around the four pillars of 1) Reputation, 2) Student Results and Support, 3) Program Accessibility and Relevance, and 4) Differentiation and Social Responsibility.
Each of the four pillars continue to be important elements of our strategic direction, but in the upcoming months SBIT is going to place a special emphasis on Student Results and Support.
We will:
Measure achievement in this area via outcomes associated with Student Success, Growth, and Efficiencies.
Prioritize the initiatives that drive positive outcomes in these areas.
Challenge each other by constantly asking the question, “Is this activity driving student success, growth, or efficiencies?”
If we cannot answer that question in the affirmative, then it will likely be an activity we set aside for a while. This intent focus is going to benefit our students, have a long-term payoff, and be a contributing factor that cements our position among the nation’s premier online schools of business and information technology.

Brent Tabor
Receives Executive Juris Doctor degree from Concord/Purdue Global!
Brent Tabor, based in Houston, Texas, United States, is currently a Corporate Controller and Chief Financial Officer at MCA Communications. https://mcacom.com/
Brent M. Tabor, EJD, CPA, MSML, MBA, MTAX
Adjunct Instructor of Accounting, since January 2009.
Happy New Year, PG colleagues! I enrolled in the Concord/Purdue Global EJD program in 2019 and completed it in November 2022. My concentration in the program was Business Law which focused on law content areas such as Contracts, Corporations, Estates and Trusts, and Employment Law. The program was an excellent content supplement to my full-time job as Chief Financial Officer. In addition, my EJD has helped me become a better accounting instructor as it enhanced to depth of my business legal knowledge and has helped explain the legal ramifications of certain transactions to my students.
Completing the program was very motivational, as balancing family, teaching, work, and school was very challenging. My study plan was to wake up at 5 AM on Saturdays and Sundays and finish up any work I have for the week. This allowed me to spend time with my family and friends and enjoy my hobbies. The professors in the EJD were top-notch, exceptional motivators and provided unwavering support throughout the degree program. I also became involved in the Student Bar Association and served the Board EJD President for two years. The connections I met through the SBA will be life-long friends.
I would definitely encourage any instructors that have been interested in obtaining this professional legal knowledge to look into it. It is definitely worth the time and monetary investment and will benefit you professionally, no matter what field you are in. If you have any questions about the program, please content me.
