Standard 6: Collaborating with Community

Definition:

Families and educational staff mutually collaborate with community partners (e.g., businesses, organizations, institutions of higher education) to connect students, families, and staff to expanded learning opportunities, community services, and civic participation.

• How can my school partner with community organization to address the multiple needs of families—economic, health, educational, and parenting— and empower parents to support their children?
• Is there a community organization that can support my school with infrastructural, financial support and/or leadership?
