Family Engagement Work

Family, School, Community Partnerships (FSCP) is a multi-dimensional practice which recognizes that parents, educators, and the greater community share responsibility for student's learning, development, and academic success. FSCP engages all families in all communities to enable them to help their children do their best in school (Epstein and Associates 2009).

In Colorado, FSCP exists as one of the components of the Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) framework. Colorado Department of Education's content for FSCP is adapted from the National Family-School Partnership Standards (National PTA, 2008) and the Dual Capacity-Building Framework (U.S. Department of Education, 2013).
