High School Equivalency Test (formerly GED)/Basic Reading and Math Skills

Free High School Equivalency (HSE) test classes and Literacy classes are available for anyone 17 years of age or older who is not currently enrolled in high school. Teachers and tutors can help you prepare for the HSE exam or improve your reading, writing, and math skills. Classes are held at Pattonville High School on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. and at Faith Baptist Church, 11330 St. Charles Rock Road in Bridgeton from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Classes offer instruction in basic reading, math, English and GED preparation. Literacy education for low level students is also offered. St. Louis Public Schools Adult Education and Literacy Free Classes are offered in adult basic education, GED preparation, family literacy, academic upgrade, English for speakers of other languages, workplace literacy and life skills instruction.
