Bound to Stay Bound Bookstore has compiled an extensive list of academic resources for students to access while learning from home. These resources include educational websites, fun activities, read-alouds, and virtual tours. New information and resources are added daily.
St. Louis County Library is encouraging all St. Louis County residents to register online for a library card. By using their library card online, patrons will have immediate access to eResources through the library's database.
Varsity Tutors is providing free online resources and classes to students Kindergarten through 12th grade to supplement at-home learning. Live online lessons and classes, practice tests, flashcards, and parent resources are all currently available for free through the Varsity Tutors Virtual School Day Toolkit.
Scholastic's Learn at Home program provides 20 days’ worth of active learning journeys designed to reinforce and sustain educational opportunities for those students who are unable to attend school. Through Learn at Home--designed for youth ages 3 through 13--students can access daily activities, articles, stories, and virtual field trips focused on various topics and subjects. Scholastic also provides a list of additional resources families can access to support at-home learning.
ReadWorks is a nonprofit website that supports reading comprehension instruction. ReadWorks provides free content, curriculum, and tools to power teaching and learning from Kindergarten through 12th grade. Families can sign up to create a free account to access the content provided on ReadWorks.
Prodigy is a math learning platform that uses games and activities to help students Kindergarten through 8th grade practice math. The curriculum-aligned math content is designed by trained, certified educators to deliver high-quality educational content. Families can create a free account to access the activities on Prodigy.
Zearn Math provides a Kindergarten through 5th grade math curriculum using immersive digital learning. Because of school closures, Zearn's K-5 curriculum – including 400 hours of digital lessons with on-screen teachers and supportive remediation – is available for free during this time through no-cost individual accounts. Zearn offers both instructions and a short webinar to help families set up a free account, create an account for their children, and select a grade or topics for the student to focus on practicing.
St. Louis Public Library provides a list of digital resources that the community can access for online learning. These resources provide courses covering a variety of topics, including language learning, career-oriented resources, ACT preparation materials, software skills, and more.
Through the Sora app, students have free access to ebooks and audiobooks. Sora is currently downloaded to all Pattonville School District student iPads. Instructions for downloading the Sora app on other devices are available Here; students can then access these resources by searching for Pattonville to find our schools.
Although the Zoo may be closed to the public, the St. Louis Zoo is providing a blog where the animal care team will be sharing photos, videos, and information about the animals over the coming weeks.
