Mandarin IV

Grade Level: 9 -12

Credits: 2 LOTE or Elective Credits

Full-year, 5-day per week course

Building on the foundational work of the previous phases, this course will continue to develop skill across all domains, while refining students’ oral proficiency. Additionally, this course is an introduction to literary criticism. It will center around concepts and skills needed to take IB Mandarin SL. . The class culminates with all students taking the LOTE Regents Checkpoint B in Mandarin.

Prerequisite: Student maintains a year long average of a 65% in Mandarin 3.
