IB Spanish ab initio Year 1 & 2

Grade Level: 11-12

Credits: 4 LOTE or Elective credits (2 credits earned in 11th; 2 credits earned in 12th)

Full-year, 5-day per week course

A two-year capstone experience, this course will tie together students' previous work, while pushing the frontiers of students' oral, written, listening, and writing skills. In addition to refining students' abilities, the focus of this course will be to help students weave their in-class learning into the patchwork of the larger world around them. Students must earn a yearlong average of 65% or higher in Year 1 in order to move on to Year 2.

Prerequisite: Student has completed Spanish II or lower prior to entry.
