This is a two-year course conducted entirely in Spanish where students will examine, in depth, the cultures of the Spanish-speaking world through reading of authentic texts and viewing of films in the target language. Students will strengthen their interactive, receptive and productive skills while gaining intercultural understanding. In addition, the course will discuss topics which are connected to five IB Language B themes: identities, experiences, social organization, human ingenuity, and how we share the planet. . Students must earn a yearlong average of 65% or higher in Year 1 in order to move on to Year 2.
Prerequisite: Student has completed at least Spanish III with a 65% average for the year in the course.
