Acting for Stage & Screen I

Grade Level: 9 – 10

Credits: 1 Art or Elective Credit

If you like to perform, this course is for you! This is an introductory course that will offer students instruction in acting skills, stage terminology, character development, improvisation, voice and movement technique, and script analysis. No experience needed! All students will have the opportunity to perform in class for their peers, as well as during the fall/spring High School Arts Showcase as part of their final project for the course. This is a prerequisite for IB Theatre.

Acting for Stage & Screen II

Performance pros, sign up here! This course is for those interested in performing and applying skills and techniques learned in Musical Theater 1. Students will choose, create, or adapt a play or musical to perform in front of an audience. Enjoy ensemble building, improvisational games, acting, voice, and movement techniques, and rehearsal work to put on the performance of a lifetime! All students will have the opportunity to perform in class for their peers, as well as during the fall/spring High School Arts Showcase as part of their final project for the course. This is a prerequisite for IB Theatre.
