Chemistry & Lab

Credits: 2 Physical Science Credits

Full-year, 5-day per week course

The Chemistry course prepares students for the International Baccalaureate program through alignment with New York State Standards for Chemistry and pre-requisite lab work. In this course, students will use scientific processes and principles to make informed personal and public decisions. Topics to be studied include matter and energy, gas laws, atomic concepts, acids/bases, chemical bonding, periodicity, chemical bonding, kinetics, nuclear and organic chemistry. Students will complete weekly labs.
