Full-year, 5-day per week course
Algebra 1 is a one year course in which students will study one-variable statistics, linear relationships, functions, and quadratic equations. In this problem-based curriculum, students will also engage in aspects of mathematical modeling. Upon completion of the course, students will take the Algebra 1 Regents exam. Students who pass this exam will have met their math requirement for a Regents diploma. A TI-84 Plus graphing calculator is required for this course.
Prerequisite: Successful completion of 8th grade mathematics course.
Supplies for Algebra class include:
GRAPH-ruled composition notebook,
Two-pocket folder
Pens/pencils,
TI-84+ GRAPHING calculator.
These items must be brought to class every day.
