Your art binder serves as a sketchbook and a tool to keep your assignments organized, and to help you stay caught up with the work in your art class.
Always put NEW papers on top of OLD papers in each section, so that the newest materials are easiest for you to access.
There are four sections in your art binder:
- Sketchbook Prompts: as you complete sketchbook assignments, they should be kept in this section
- Vocabulary: you will add words to your vocabulary section throughout the course; keep the vocabulary papers in your binder, even after a unit is complete.
- Skill Builders: when you experiment with new techniques and media, your papers or worksheets will be added to this area; practice activities completed during Bootcamps in class should go into this section
- Projects: when you are assigned a project, you receive a Project Timeline that contains important information and requires you to answer questions as you brainstorm and complete a sketch-- all Project Timelines and project information/planning sheets should go in this section
Your binder should always have blank paper, so that you can complete the sketchbook prompts.
Papers that will be added to the binder have the section printed on the top. Always add your papers so that the most recent assignment or work is in the front of the section, and old work is in the back of each section.
