Adding Customers to Applications

It’s really important that we are very careful with matching customer details across all of our applications. The slightest variation in a customer name can result in producing a new customer. 

For Example: Looking at Mode Developments:

In Xero

Mode Developments Group AND Mode Developments

In Halo

MODE Development Group

In the Procision Shop

Mode Developments Group

This is going to cause major issues for our billing and for syncing sales orders from the shop, so the following procedure is important:

You should add them in the following order

1. Halo including the Account Code then SYNC it to Xero. This should always be the first place given we create opportunities before quotes.

2. Check the client profile has auto-created in Xero including the account code

3. Add the customer to the shop with exactly the same details as Halo, including any full stops etc. Be aware of using CAPS – they must look identical.
