Background
On a beautiful March 2022 the Winter 2021-22 Term Community Service Group began a fundraiser to raise awareness for Aspiras, a non-profit helping street kids in the Dominican Republic through the theme of Soccer. Javier Alonso Valcarcel '22 and Eumir Rodriguez '22 are part of that organization. The group decided to have a raffle and center it around a faculty vs student soccer game in the Spring. Students donated money, designed flyers and a website to promote the fundraiser.
The Spring Community Service Group picked up the fundraiser by hanging out flyers and promoting the sales of raffle tickets.

Impact
We believe we helped Aspiras Youth by raising over $650 for the organization through the sales of raffle tickets to the Pomfret Campus Community. Even though faculty lost the soccer game to students, several people in the community won prizes and the rest offered their dearest support.
