Background
On a beautiful warm Thursday, October 29th 2022 some members of the Fall 2022 Term Community Service Group helped the local area Red Cross volunteer to run a Blood Drive at Pomfret's Wrestling Room. The event began at 1pm and went on until 6:30pm. Students and Faculty had a chance to donate blood to the Red Cross. Our Community Service volunteers helped set up the event, helped donors fill forms and helped nurses and Red Cross staff. Miriam Ivanenko '23 and a few students got signups during dining hours up to the event. Ms. Grassi and facilities helped bring the tables and chairs. Dr. Sandy Chase brought baked goods.

Impact
We felt that our simple act of volunteering for an important organization like the Red Cross could directly effect countless lives by having the Pomfret School Community physically give back to our broader community suffering in need of vital blood resources.
