Doggy Drop-In is back!
This is "canine comfort" for those students who need a little extra fur-pal love. Students can sign up on Flexisched to participate in our Doggy Drop-In sessions during ACCESS.

We have an open door policy, meaning that students can drop by during school hours to see if their counselor is available. Students can also email and make an appointment with their counselor. If the student has a social-emotional emergency, they can notify one of the counseling departments's front staff that they need to see a counselor immediately.
Counseling groups can be a beneficial way for students to learn to cope with particular challenges in an environment with other students undergoing the same stress.
SST's are meetings with the student, parents, counselor, vice principal, and teachers designed to assist struggling students with strategies that may help improve academic performance. SST meetings are held when individual parent/teacher conference(s) have already been held and when problems are persisting. Common reasons for holding an SST meeting are if a learning disability is suspected or if a student is not performing well (D/F grades) in several academic classes despite documented interventions by the student and teacher(s).
Each year, counselors provide valuable information for the upcoming year particular to each student grade level, including counseling services and post-high school planning information. Each Spring, counselors share information about the scheduling process, including college and graduation requirements, college preparation, SAT/ACT tests, and more.
Each year, counselors provide several informational presentations for parents and students. Topics include: Scheduling information, Financial Aid, and Wellness-related topics.
