These are real stories told by real college students. The series covers big state institutions, small liberal arts schools, community colleges, trade schools, religious-affiliated schools, and more.

California Dream Act
California Dream Act
The California Dream Act (CADAA) is a gateway to state, campus, and private financial aid for certain documented and eligible undocumented students. The CADAA is unrelated to the federal Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. The CADAA mirrors the FAFSA, only it is for students who do not have a permanent social security number. The application information is confidential - it is NEVER shared with the Federal Government, Homeland Security, or Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Dream Act students and their parents are protected by the same privacy and information security laws and safeguards as all other Cal Grant applicants.
