Academic Blocks

FOOTHILL HIGH SCHOOL ACADEMIC BLOCK “F”

(PLEASE READ ALL DIRECTIONS CAREFULLY )

The Academic Block program Foothill High School is designed to recognize and reward students who demonstrate and maintain ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE.  Students interested in obtaining an Academic Block or Honor Patch must meet the qualifications listed below and submit an application.

• You may apply for an Academic Block “F” after your fourth (4th) semester earning a 3.5 weighted GPA or higher, calculated in Q.

•  You may apply for an Honor Patch after earning a 3.5 weighted GPA or higher for one additional semester after having earned the initial Academic Block “F” (can apply for multiple).

Transfer Students (Please check the box if you are a transfer student to FHS). Transfer students will be recognized for the equivalent academic work earned at another school and will be eligible for an Academic Block “F” after having earned a 3.5 or higher weighted GPA during one full semester of attendance at FHS.

You will need to submit an unofficial transcript highlighting the semesters in which a 3.5 or high weighted GPA is earned.  You may print your unofficial transcript in Q.

The cost is $10 (letter); $2 (Academic Strip); $2 (Numbers); $2 (Honor Patch - torch).  If you need financial assistance, please see Counselor Solana Olsen.
