Once again the Club finished the season with a family day of games and competitions at Dalkeith Campus then over to the Muir household for awards, food, drink and fun on the bouncy castle. Thanks to everyone who came along, Pleasance is a family club and it is great to see so many people turn up and bring friends and family. Congratulations to the competition winners above. The season has finished for both Lothian Divisions 1 & 2, well done to our 3 teams for their hard work.

Training has now changed to just 1 night a week, Monday nights at Forrester High School.

May 2014

Pleasance 1st team have finished the 2013-2014 season with 42 points and a winning 11/9 record - well done guys!

We are waiting for the rest of the league to complete their games but currently Pleasance are 3rd in the table but will likely finish 4th. A good season, congratulations to Coach Sanford and the guys.

In Division 2 the 47s team have just completed their season with a 38-30 win over Boroughmuir Masters. The 47s are at the moment 2nd in the league with an impressive 13/7 win/loss record. This is a great effort from the old boys - Frank, Kenny, Graeme, Andy, Allan, Robert, Mark, Tam, Lee & the 2 Darrens.

April 2014

28th April: Both 47s and Pace lost their Friday night matches but each team hit buzzer beating 3 pointers - here they are in all their glory!

47s are 2nd in the Lothian 2nd Division after beating Soldier Bears on 11th April but losing to them by 1 point the following week.

Pace were shorthanded and after a tough 1st quarter recovered to play well in their loss to a strong Leith Honeybadgers team.

The 1st team bounced back from 2 narrow losses 78-76 to Blaze and 63-70 to Central Jags to beat Dunfermline by a big 90-51 scoreline on 16th May.

March 2014

March ended with a Division 2 derby between Pace and 47s. Pace went into the 4th Quarter with a 7 point advantage but the 47s overcame this with strong man-to-man defence and interior play.

Previously in March:

1st team beat Prestige & Spartans but lost to Wolves twice - the 2nd time by just 2 points.

Pace beat a strong Soldier Bears team with a big effort but lost to Lions.

47's won all 3 games in March against Pace, Currie and Tigers!

January 2014

23/1/2014

Pleasance played away at Edinburgh Kings this week and lost 52-40. The 47's play in Division 2 on Friday.

20/1/2014

Friday's double header saw both Pace & the 47's win in Lothian Division 2.

Pace worked hard without a few key players to beat Wolves & the 47s beat the Leith Honeybadgers after a monster first half that finished 24-7. Some footage is below and on the Facebook page. The 47's now complete the new Pleasance Basketball look with all 3 teams now sporting new Kukri uniforms.

A successful start to 2014 has seen the 1st Team win in the league and the 47's beat Lothian D1's L&B Police 54-52in the Lothian Cup, a great result. Pace lost their Lothian Cup match to Heriot Watt (also D1).

December 2013

The Pleasance 1st team finished the year with a convincing 69-46 victory over Central Jaguars.

Pleasance Pace & Pleasance 47's played on Friday in the first Pleasance Derby of the League 2 season with the 47s coming away with a hard 'fought' victory. The rematch will be interesting!

Pleasance lost a tough game against the Spartans 52-62.

Pleasance Pace lost a close game to Leith Honeybadgers last week and this Friday play their last game of 2013 against new boys East Lothian Perigrines. The 47s don't play again until January.

November 2013

In a weekend of games against Bears, Pleasance won their weekend match against the Highland Bears 72-64 on Sunday. Gav score 18 points from his 6 3-pointers, with Ian and Rokas scoring 13 each.

On Friday Pace lost a close game in overtime to Division 2's new boys, the Edinburgh Soldier Bears 41-38.

October 2013

31/10/13

Pleasance Pace & 47's teamed up last night to take on Edinburgh Kings in the Chairman's Cup. It was a low scoring game with Pleasance losing 51-26.

This Friday in League 2, Pace take on new boys Edinburgh Soldier Bears while the 47s ice their knees.

20/10/13

On Friday Pleasance Pace had a big win over Edinburgh Lions A, with a fantastic 21 point game from Miguel. The 47's lost their Friday game to the Masters. This Monday Pleasance 1sts play a home L&B Police at 19:45 - good luck guys

03/10/13

Last Friday saw a comfortable win from the 47's and a close loss from Pace who lost by 1 point in Overtime.

The Pleasance 1st team were thoroughly beaten by an excellent Edinburgh University team in the Scottish Cup.

This week sees all 3 teams in action again, the 1st team play Heriot Watt on Sunday in their first league match of the season while on Friday, Pace play Boroughmuir Masters and 47's play Midlothian Madness.

September 2013

26/09/13 The 47s play their first game of the season on Friday evening, 7.10pm tip off, followed by Pace who play the late game against Tigers. Good luck to both team. On Saturday, Pleasance play Edinburgh University in a Cup match at 2pm. The venue is Edinburgh Uni's Pleasance Sports Centre. Please come down and support.

23/09/13 The new season starts tonight for Lothian Division 2. Pace tip-off against Currie tonight at 8.35pm at Westwoods - well done to Pace who won 34-27! Video highlights are on our Club Videos page & on our Facebook account.

Master's Tournament

Pleasance 47’s, our over-40’s basketball team, this weekend won the Great British Master’s tournament! A huge achievement to win the ABZ Airbourne Trophy for the first time. Congratulations to Geoff Raper, Andy King, Mark Benger, Graeme Muir, Tam Munro, Frank White, George Falconer and Kenny Moretta for winning this prestigious piece of silverware.
