Season 2023/24
The upcoming season starts 1st September, time to get ready to play!
CHANGES THIS SEASON
Pleasance will no longer enter a LBA Division 2 team (Pace) for this season. We have had this second team for 10+ years and perhaps we will see it resurrected in future.
Our Masters / Senior team, previously named 47s, are merging with Polonia Phoenix Masters to help them better prepare for Master's tournaments. Thanks to our older members, some of who have been with us for 40+ years!
SUmmer 2023
Summer runs are currently on Tuesday evenings, 19:00 to 20:30 at Oriam, hall 1. Feel free to come join a session, see how you get on and after that the sessions are £5
Season 22/23
Pleasance 1st team competed in National League 2 and Lothian League 1.
In LBA Division 1, Pleasance finished 3rd of 9 with 10 wins and 6 losses. In Senior Men Division 2 (National) Pleasance finished 5th with a record of 6 and 12.
Pleasance Pace47s had their first season since almagamting the old boys 47s team and Pace. With more players than before we had some adjustments and ultimately finished 6th in the league.
2023!
Training is back on at Oriam from 3rd January. Pleasance Pace are playing in the Lothian Cup against West Lothian Wolves at Oriam on 10th January so no training for no playing squad numbers.
December 2022
Pleasance Pace finished the calendar year with 11 points, sitting in 6th place.
Pleasance 1st are in 4th place with 3 wins and 3 loses.
September 2022
Lothian League 1 and 2 has tipped off for Pleasance.
Pace47s combined team gave it all in their first 2 games but were overmatched in both games.
August 2022
Training for our National League and Lothian League teams have started.
This year our 47s and Pace teams have combined and so they will be our squad in Lothian League 2.
The 1st team will play National League 2 and Lothian League 1 as usual.
July 2022
Summer open-runs are currently on at Oriam on Tuesday evenings, 7pm - 8.30pm. If you are not already a paid-up member of Pleasance you are invited to join us but each session costs £5 cash, please bring this with you.
Full team based training is scheduled to resume week beginning 15th August for National League 2, Lothian League 1 and Lothian League 2.

National League 2 & LBA Division 1 at Forrester High School. From September the Wednesday session will be at Oriam, HWU.
Tuesday nights, 7pm to 8.30pm:
Pace and 47s @ Oriam, by Heriot Watt.
Our CLUB
Pleasance Basketball Club is Edinburgh's oldest basketball club, founded in 1947.
Our main 1st team play both in Scottish Basketball League 2 & Lothian Basketball League 1.
We have a second team named Pace & they play in Lothian League 2.
Our over 50s Masters team have amalgamated with Polonia Phoenix Masters and will be playing in Lothian League 3.
