2009/2010

Season 2009 / 2010 was the first of Pleasance entering 3 teams in to the Lothian Leagues.

Our first team, with Scott Sanford as coach, played in the Division 1. The team tried to bleed in some of the younger players at the club and try some new ideas and plays. The team progressed throughout the year but unfortunately did not win any games in the Division.

Pleasance 'A' were renamed Pleasance 47's after our team's year of establishment. They competed well under Frank & Rob's leadership winning a lot of games in Division 2 and finishing in the top half of the table.

Pleasance 'B' were renamed Pleasance Pace. Under Tony's coaching the team gained in confidence throughout the season in Division 2, losing all their games. The team were unlucky in a few games leading in the 4th quarter but not being able to hold on for a win.

Claymore Cup 2010

Pleasance managed to retain the Claymore Cup we won the previous year which was a great achievement in a season of poor results in the Lothian Leagues.

We even got a mention in the Edinburgh Evening News. http://edinburghnews.scotsman.com/sport/Basketball-Pleasance-put-their-opponents.6749817.jp
