You can earn credit, but your grades in middle school are NOT calculated in your high school G.P.A.
High School Credit
Students in Parkway are eligible to receive high school credit if they complete a high school course prior to ninth grade (ex. Spanish A + Spanish B = Spanish 1).
The grade for any high school courses taken in middle school will be added to the middle school transcript regardless of the grades earned.
Grades of A or B and credit earned for high school courses taken in middle school will be placed on the high school transcript when the student successfully completes the subsequent course in the relevant sequence. [eg. Spanish 2 after Spanish 1
World Languages: The letter grade earned for each semester of the Level B course will be added to the transcript as grades for Level 1 of the World Language Class.
GPA – The letter grade will not be calculated into the student’s high school grade point average.
CREDIT - A student will earn 0.5 credit per semester for a total of 1.0 credit for the course.
