During my time in high school, I have maintained mostly A’s and a couple of B’s during my junior year, all while working about 40 hours a week between a few part-time jobs to save for college. In my senior year, I was fortunate to be selected for an internship at Project Eagle, a nonprofit organization where I learned more about mental health and the role of social workers. My future goal is to become a child therapist, so this was an incredible opportunity and experience. I plan to reach out to the director to see if I can volunteer more of my time during the summer to gain additional hands-on experience.
Outside of school and work, I play competitive softball and attend practices and lessons 3–4 times a week. I will be attending college on both an academic and softball scholarship! I’ve learned how to manage a busy schedule while still succeeding academically and actively participating in school clubs. I have served as both junior and senior class president, and I am involved in student council, where I strive to be a positive influence and a supportive outlet for my fellow classmates to share their thoughts and ideas.
I dedicate a lot of my time to creating a fun and successful school year for others. I also serve as Vice President of the Earth Club and have helped clean up areas in my community that desperately needed attention.
