This week, we will review how to take an Accelerated Reader quiz using ebooks about famous African American history-makers. For whole group instruction, we will use epic!. For independent practice, students may read ebooks on epic! or ebooks from our OPAC.
4th - 6th grade:
Video to the left: Joe Louis vs. Max Baer, who was of Jewish decent, and often wore the yellow Star of David on his boxing trunks to protest Nazi actions.
There is also a page in the story below that shows a newspaper article about Joe Louis' boxing match against Max Baer.
