The Occupational and Physical Therapy related-services department of Piedmont Public Schools has been working hard in the district to help shine a light on our student's individual talents and learning styles to promote functional independence in the classroom setting. Here's a look at some of the awesome things going on in the district with our therapists who want to help their students shine!
We may be a small school system but we like to think of our community as large. Piedmont Public Schools, though a close-knit district, showcased a community with a truly immense heart at its annual Inclusion Night. During Inclusion Month, our students shone brightly as they gathered in enthusiastic support of one another. The air buzzed with genuine affection and budding friendships, a testament to the inclusive spirit thriving within our schools. A heartfelt thank you goes out to our dedicated SPED team members and related service providers whose hard work and passion made this beautiful evening a resounding success!
Marie Spencer, an Occupational Therapy Provider at Piedmont Public Schools, has been recognized as a Grant Recipient by the Piedmont Public Schools Education Foundation!
We are thrilled to announce that the Piedmont Public Schools Education Foundation and the Carrie Attalla Memorial Fund will be awarding an impressive 34 grants to 63 dedicated teachers this academic year, totaling approximately $26,870!
Educators throughout the district were pleasantly surprised in their classrooms, sharing moments of celebration with their students. Congratulations, Mrs. Spencer, on this well-deserved recognition as a grant recipient!
