Brain breaks can be a powerful tool for helping your kids learn. On a traditional school day, as we all know, it’s hard for a child to stay focused on their work. A break from that environment is needed so that they can refocus their attention and process what they’ve learned in the classroom. Many students have sensory processing issues which causes them to have difficulty focusing or to pay attention in class. Brain breaks can be big movements or even small movements such as deep breathing for a few minutes. These brain breaks help when used appropriately by encouraging movement, offering a change of scenery, and providing opportunities for recess where kids can just let go and have fun!
