If you are using Brightspace as your default LMS, you can integrate it with our D2L (Brightspace) to help your students access their Dean Vaughn course through a link in their existing D2L course.
Here is how the integration works for instructors and the students:
Instructor accounts are created in Dean Vaughn's D2L course. As an instructor, you will be expected to log in here, with a username and password you received from Dean Vaughn Support: https://learn.petersons.com/d2l/login
Since students are not logging into Dean Vaughn's D2L course, there is no need to enroll them. Their student accounts will be generated automatically, and they will access course content through a link in your school's D2L course.
While there is no need to enroll students into Dean Vaughn's D2L course, instructors will be required to enroll students into sections.
Students are logging into their Dean Vaughn accounts through a link in their school's D2L course. There is no need for them to log into Dean Vaughn's D2L course.
They can access your Dean Vaughn D2L course, view content and take quizzes. Only their final grade will be visible in their school's D2L course / Grades tab.
All grades will be automatically recorded and visible in their Dean Vaughn D2L course.
Important:
Setting up an integration between your school's D2L course and Dean Vaughn's will take a few days, so if this is something you are interested in, please email us so we can get the process started. We will need your tech admin's contact information, so we can coordinate between them and our LMS admin.
If you already enrolled your students into your Dean Vaughn course, setting up this integration would result in duplicate student accounts. That's why it's best to request it before you have enrolled your students into your Dean Vaughn course.
