How to set your initial password and log in

To get started, you should set your password and log in. Go to your inbox, and look for an email from Dean Vaughn (no-reply@petersons.com) titled "Welcome to Dean Vaughn".

Click the Password Reset button in that email to set your initial password and log into your course. Follow these steps to set your password, log in, access courses and log out:

1. Click on the Password Reset link

2. Enter a password twice (make sure passwords are at least 8 characters long and they match) and click "Create password".

3. On the next page, re-enter your account email and password you created in step 2 and click Log in. *If you are not sure what your account email is, go back to your inbox and check. Please make sure the email you entered matches the recipient of our welcome email*.

4. You will be redirected to deanvaughn.com. You will see you have been logged in if you look at the top right corner of your screen.

5. To access your courses, click on the Access Courses button in the top right corner.

6. You will be redirected to your student dashboard. Your courses will be visible under "My Courses". Click on a course to access it. 

7. To log out, click on your avatar in the top right corner and click Log out.

8. To log back in, go back to https://ldeanvaughn.com/login and re-enter your email address and password. Do not try to log in here: https://learn.petersons.com/d2l/login - it won't work.

Dean Vaughn Flashcard App access (on your mobile device):

To log into the app on your phone, download the app from the App Store or Google Play and login using your account email address and the password you just created. You should use the same email address and password for both the online course and the app. 

How to reset your Dean Vaughn password and log in:

If you need to reset your password or you were unable to set your initial password, you can go to deanvaughn.com/login and click "Forgot password" to get a new reset password link.

Go to your inbox, open the email we sent you, and click on the reset password link to reset your password. Please note:

1. 1.  Each set password link can only be used once.

   2.  Your new password can't match your old password.

   3.  Your password should contain at least 8 characters.

Once you have been able to set your password, log in and click on "Access Courses" to access your courses, as described in steps 5 and 6 above.
