Hi families! My name is Anna Thurmond and I am so excited to be teaching first grade at Petal Primary School!  First grade is so special because these students learn to become independent readers, fluent mathematicians, and capable problem solvers.  Most importantly, we learn how to be a friend.

My family includes my husband, Robert, his dad, Bob, and our twelve year old son, Owen. We also have a cat named Bumpy, 3 dogs - Kong, Genesis and Luke, and our Guinea Pigs, Han Solo and Chewy.  We love to go on adventures together and see new things.

I can't wait to meet all of you!
