Welcome! My name is Aislynn Burkes and I am so excited to start this school year, but more importantly, I am so ecstatic to be your teacher! I can't wait to get to know all of my fantastic students and parents. Until that can happen, let me tell you a little bit about myself! 

I am originally from New Orleans, LA and I moved to Hattiesburg to attend the University of Southern Mississippi and received my degree in Elementary Education with an endorsement in social studies and reading.  I am truly honored to have the privilege to work in the Petal School District! When I'm not teaching I love spending time with my family and friends. I also enjoy going shopping, it doesn't matter if I buy anything or window shop! I can't wait to start this year and get to know every one of you!
