Dual Enrollment Overview:
Twelfth grade students have the opportunity to apply for Lancaster County Career and Technology Center’s Automotive Technology Associate in Specialized Technology (AST) Degree program. The Automotive Technology AST program is a 63-credit program and
students during their senior year have the opportunity to earn 41 credits towards this degree.
Secondary students accepted into this program are Post-Secondary students and will follow the policies and procedures for students accepted into the AST program.
As per the agreement:
Accommodations provided by LCCTC may not be the same as those contained in the student’s Individualized Education Program and 504 program processes implemented by their school districts, but the LCCTC will comply with state and federal laws that apply to post-secondary institutions.
2026-2027 schedule for Dual Enrolled Students:
Student Orientation: August 18, 19, & 20
Fall Term: August 25, 2026 to December 12, 2026. Classes held Tuesday thru Friday
Spring Term: January 11, 2027 to May 7, 2027. Classes held Monday thru Thursday.
1st Summer Term: May 10 to May 27
Cost:
School Districts with a signed agreement have agreed to pay for the cost of a qualified student to attend during the 2026-27 school year for the first three terms: Fall, Spring and 1st Summer Term. To finish the AST the estimated cost would be approximately $11,500 cost may change based on tuition/fee amounts approve by the JOC). Students will be eligible to apply for financial aid to complete the required courses if needed.

b. Under Adult Education click Programs then Automotive Technology
c. Fill out the short form on the right-hand side
2. The applicant will receive an email from Mr. Jesse Lopez, Admission Advisor with directions and a link to the application. Jesse can be reached at: jlopez@lancasterctc.edu 717-464-7050 ext. 7210.
3. Once an application is submitted Jesse will be in touch initially via email with the next steps.
4. We are asking the counselor working with the applying student please email Jesse.
Miscellaneous Information:
• Students will be responsible for their own transportation to the Willow Street Campus
• Students will be required to attend an orientation meeting during the week of August 18th as scheduled
• Understanding that students are high school seniors and graduating May/June, CTC will work them to complete obligations around graduation i.e. senior meetings, graduation practice, etc.
• Students who do not want to finish the Degree program will be issued a Certificate of Completion after the 1st Summer Term is completed
