WEATHER UPDATE

PCS families, Hurricane Florence has forced us to miss several weeks of school. Many of us had just found a routine after the first 10 days of school. We are hoping to return to school on the days listed below. In meantime, we have put together a list of OPTIONAL resources that parents can use with their students to stay engaged. The resources are listed by grade level. Some schools/teachers may have sent ideas more specific to their classrooms.

Pender County Schools is in the process of completing needed repairs to ensure its facilities are safe for the return of staff and students. For the most recent facilities update, click here.

At this time, the best projected return dates for Traditional Calendar Schools begin Oct. 18 with a window extending to Oct. 22, based on environmental hygienist and contractor reports.

WELCOME TO PENDER COUNTY SCHOOLS

Pender County Schools is among the fastest growing school districts, by rate, in the state of North Carolina. Our students continually exceed local and state performance on North Carolina End of Grade and End of Course tests.

The district is made up of 18 schools, including eight elementary schools, five middle schools, three traditional high schools, a K-8 school and an Early College High School.

Each school day more than 1,200 employees work to provide an environment that capitalizes on students' natural curiosity, nurtures their desire to learn, and respects their individual learning style. Our goal is to help children become productive members of society.
