Suncorp NetSetGO is Australia's official starter program for girls and boys aged 5-10. It's a chance to learn the netball basics, get outside and make some friends. For a lot of kids, this is the first time they'll pick up a netball or pop on a bib. It's a learning experience and a lot of fun.
Suncorp NetSetGO is divided up into three tiers: Net, Set and GO. Where you start depends on your age and netball experience. As you move through the tiers, you'll pick up more advanced netball skills. One week it might be passing drills and ball games, next it could be shooting and practice matches. All NetSetGO sessions are led by an experienced netball coach, using equipment built especially for kids.
Players participate in the competition run at the SA Districts Netball Association (SADNA)

Karen Zerner has been deeply involved in netball since the age of 7, playing for the Morialta Netball Club and progressing through to the A1 team, where she served as captain. She began her playing career in goal positions before transitioning to defence in her senior years. With over 20 years of coaching experience, Karen has coached various school and club teams and played a key role in development coaching at the club level. For the past 8 years, she has been an integral part of the Pedare SPiN programme, coaching teams from Year 6 to Year 12. Some of her most rewarding moments have included leading teams to the knockout finals and supporting players in their growth and success.
I fell in love with netball when I first hit the court as a seven year old. As a junior I played predominantly as a goalie until I was told I was too short and was moved to the midcourt in seniors. Centre became my favourite position and my career highlight was winning the Premier League Premiership at Jags, beating Contax by one goal in the final seconds of the game with some of my closest friends beside me. Soon my knee became too bothersome for me to continue so I fuelled my love of netball by coaching at different clubs and schools, including Pedare, from Net! Set! Go! right through to assistant roles at Premier League level. Since becoming a mum I've proudly watched my eldest daughter from the side line and with four year old twin daughters also beginning to dream of becoming a Thunderbird, I foresee many, many happy, cold Saturday mornings watching all three in the years to come.
