You can use this to locate and play a sound on a missing iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, AirPods, or Beats headphones.
You can also use this to keep up with friends & family.
At the top right of the screen you should see 3 small icons:
Globe: Allows you to choose how your map looks
Arrow: Brings you back to your current location
3D: Allows you to switch between 2D and 3D
When you first open "Find My" app you will notice 4 different sections on the bottom of your screen. This includes:
People
Devices
Items
Me
This tab is where you will view other people's location in real time.
With each person it will show you:
City, State
When the last updated location was
How far away they are from you
When you click on a certain person it gives you options to:
Contact them
Get directions to their last updated location
This tab is very useful if you were to lose one of your apple devices.
This allows you to look at all of your devices that are connected to "Find My" and look at its:
Last updated location
How far away it is from you
When you click on one of your devices, it allows you to see its estimated battery percentage
You can also select "Play Sound" and that device will emit a ringing sound to help you locate it if you misplace it in a room.
This tab is for all items that you have an "AirTag" with. An AirTag is one of Apple's electronics to allow you to connect it to a backpack, pet, suitcase, keys, etc.
AirTags are quarter-sized bluetooth trackers designed to help you keep tabs on valuables or frequently lost items.
This tab allows you to look at your current location.
It also gives you options on:
Sharing your location
Allowing Friends to request your location
Customize Notifications for Find My and Tracking
