Overview of Apple and Google Passwords
Both Apple and Google Passwords are built in password managers that help store passwords. Apple Passwords is compatible with iPhone, iPad and Mac and Google Passwords is compatible with all Android devices and the entirety of the Chrome web browser (Google internet). These passwords managers have the ability to store all of your passwords so that you won't ever have to remember them. Additionally, both Apple and Google Passwords will keep your passwords secure by requiring facial recognition (fingerprint if on Mac) to access your passwords. They can also come up with "strong passwords" that contain a random series of numbers, special characters and letters that will keep your data tightly secure (you will not have to remember these "strong passwords" either).
According to the National Council on Aging, "88,000 people age 60 and over collectively lost $3.1billion dollars to internet fraud."
With a world that is becoming more and more dependent on technology, it is important to teach everyone, especially digital immigrants, how to safely and securely navigate today's technology.
