Walter Marchbanks serves as the Customer Programs and Services manager with the Port of Portland, bringing 14 years of experience in customer experience and operational management at Portland international airport. As the chair of the PDX accessibility advisory committee, Walter has championed initiatives to improve accessibility and inclusivity at the airport. His work includes collaboration with community organizations such as AARP, Portland State University and Open Doors organization to ensure accessible travel for all. Walter also manages Portland International Airport’s employee culture program known as PDX people and serves as the airport liaison to travel industry partners, including Travel Oregon, Travel Portland and Sports Oregon.
