Ben Schumacher

Ben Schumacher is currently a senior at Portland State University who will graduate in June, 2025 with a major in Social Science, and a minor in Child, Youth and Family Studies. Ben is a Disability advocate, working at local and state levels to improve services for people with disabilities. As a person who has been completely blind since birth with only light perception, Ben has expertise in non-visual travel and has consulted on research projects to improve wayfinding experiences on college campuses.
