Departments and Course Teams will have an opportunity to promote the many courses that are offered for the 2026-2027 school year. Students will take time in Period 1 and 2 to attend various course stations to learn more about the courses that may interest them for next year.
All Grade 12 students will work in the Library or Cafeteria
Any Grade 12 student who is returning for another year will select their courses during this window.
Any Grade 12 student who is graduating will indicate “Not Returning” in MBP and complete the Provincial Exit Survey (mandatory).
Please review the attached document, Course Selection Information for Students and Families of The Woodlands School, 2025-2026 School Year. During the Course Selection Assemblies, Guidance Counsellors will review this information along with available courses, specialized programs, night/summer school options, and more. These presentations will be posted on the Student Services site once they are complete.
It is very important that students and families review the provided material and follow the posted course selection guidelines in order to ensure their best chance of being timetabled for their preferred courses. It is important that students choose their courses very carefully, as once course selections are submitted on February 25th, there can be no further changes until September 2025.
Course selections will NOT be approved without parent/guardian approval. Students will be required to enter a parent/guardian email address at the end of their selection. Guidance Counsellors will not process any course selections without parent/guardian approval. Parents will need to log into their email and approve the selection via the link provided.
After the course selection assemblies, Guidance Counsellors will be available to answer any questions or concerns you may have.
Thank you and good luck for the remainder of semester one!
Please see an updated list of eLearning Courses offered through the OeLC for the 2022 - 2023 school year: eLearning Course Offerings 2022-2023 (OeLC).xlsx
Here are a few reminders:
Courses offered through the OeLC are delivered asynchronously;
Once enrolled in courses, students must follow the expectations, guidelines, and timelines of the school board hosting the course;
Students may take one eLearning course per semester (and cannot be the fifth course) unless there are extenuating circumstances. If that's the case, please ask your principal to send a request to my coordinating principal, Anu Arora.
Registrars do give priority to registrations that have been verified. Therefore, make sure you verify all registrations.
