TD Bank Scholarships for Community Leadership 

Since 1995, TD has awarded millions in scholarships to recognize students who have demonstrated an outstanding commitment to community leadership. TD Scholarships for Community Leadership recipients receive up to $70,000 for tuition and living expenses as well as opportunities for paid summer employment, peer networking and mentorship. Supporting young community leaders is one way TD is helping build a more inclusive and sustainable tomorrow. 

Students can apply directly.  No school nomination is required. DEADLINE:  November 15th 2023



TD Scholarships for Community Leadership are open to students across Canada who:
Have demonstrated community leadership
Are in the final year of high school
Have a minimum overall grade average of 75% (outside Quebec), or a minimum R score of 26 (in Quebec), in their most recently completed school year

In 2021, Humberview graduate Daniel Sampson was the recipient of this prestigious award. 

Humberview can nominate only ONE student.


If you would like to be considered for nomination, please email Mrs. McCauley by November 1st with an overview of HOW you meet the criteria below.  


Criteria

- Graduate by June 2024

- Academic excellence AND leadership, creativity, and charisma

Strong consideration will be given to students with financial need 

- Be entrepreneurial minded and intend to purse a career in Technology / Engineering / Business / Scientific research

- Plan to enroll in one of the following universities (see below)

- Schulich will NOT consider students pursing a career as a Physician / Medical Researcher / Professor / Social Activist

In 2023, Humberview graduate John Ali Hemani was the recipient of this prestigious award. 

Humberview can nominate FIVE students.
Students will be able to submit their name for nomination in February 2024. 


Criteria

Schulich Builders are responsible, hardworking, dedicated people who:
Are Canadian citizens or permanent residents
Meet college admission requirements
Are enrolling in a full-time, eligible* skilled trade one-year certificate or two-year diploma program at a participating college starting in Fall 2024

* Each college has their own list of eligible programs, which can be found on their respective websites.

Humberview can nominate TWO students.

Plans to attend Queens' University
Superior academic ability - Grade 11 average of 90% plus
Creative and original thinking
Proven leadership qualities
High school nomination required*

$12,000 per year.  Renewable for 3 subsequent years (4 years total) provided a GPA of 3.5 is achieved in a full course load each year. Selected recipients will receive further information about renewal criteria. 

November 20th - deadline to apply to Queens via OUAC
December 8th - deadline to submit scholarship application
