At the Peel District School Board, the following supports are available for your child:
1) Support from a Classroom Teacher of the Deaf/ Hard of Hearing in a special education classroom or an Itinerant Teacher of the Deaf/ Hard of Hearing in the mainstream
2) Support from a Consulting Educational Audiologist and the FM Technologist
3) Use of a Remote Microphone (RM) or soundfield system if required
4) Access to other assistive technology to support their needs if required
5) Speech and Language support services if required

Hearing aid earmolds and tubing should be cleaned regularly to ensure that your child's personal amplification is operating effectively. If you are not comfortable with working with your child's hearing aid, please visit their audiologist and ask for some support.

This series was set up as part of Ontario's Infant Hearing Program. They are geared towards families with newly identified babies but a couple of them are also appropriate for families with newly identified school-age children.
