1) Make sure that you are wearing the microphone in the centre of your chest and about 20 cm below your mouth.
2) Speak at a normal pace and volume.
3) Check in with your student to ensure the system is working. For younger students, try saying a secret word from the other side of room and have them repeat it.
4) When students are working in small groups, place the Touchscreen flat on the table in the middle of the group so the student can access the conversation.
5) No matter their age, try to encourage independence with the system.
6) Make sure you mute or turn off the microphone when you are not addressing the student with hearing loss and especially when you are having private conversations/going to the bathroom!
