Log In

To access the CMS, you'll use the personal login information sent in your welcome email. Even though we access our Patch emails through Gmail, it is important that you type your email address and password into the login field instead of using the "Continue with Google" button.

Navigating the Patch CMS

When you log in, the CMS will take you to the home page of your own Patch community. Here, you will see top stories local to your town.

Using the drop-down menu in the upper-right corner, you can write a new article or navigate to your dashboard, which lets you see published, scheduled and drafted articles. To get to your dashboard, select "Articles" from the menu.

From within your Patch dashboard, you can see and edit previously posted stories, schedule stories to post at a later date or view, edit and publish drafted stories. 

Again, you can write a story by selecting "Write article" from the drop-down menu in the upper right corner.

Your Profile

You can also fill out your user profile using the "edit profile" selection in the drop-down menu.

Select a home Patch, write a bio about yourself and make sure to include an email address and/or phone number where readers can reach you. Make sure to also add a photo of yourself.

Please take care of your bio during your first week on the job.
