Teacher Laptops
In the FY22 school year, the District replaced teacher desktops with laptops.
The laptop with a docking station is a full desktop replacement. Teachers have the ability to move the laptop around the classroom and match the newfound mobility of students, as well as have the option to take the laptops home if the need arises.
Additional benefits to the laptop:
More powerful and increased usability over the Chromebook
A more modern device than the current near end-of-life teacher desktop
Laptop screen functions as a second monitor when connected to the docking station and the monitor
In the event of a power outage or power surge, the laptop has a built-in battery backup and will likely prevent loss of data
